The scattered strands of memories
Is all that remains today of the beach
Relations as porous as the sands
Leave no traces of the love
That flowed over it as freely as water.
I too, as a mute spectator, allow the salt of my tears
To challenge the salinity of the sea
And a like a true lover of the beach
Leave behind footprints and sand castles of memory
For others to marvel at their beauty
Till the changing face of time, like the sea,
Sweeps all away forever.
